Sex Therapy
Being certified as a sex therapist by AASECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists) and Modern Sex Therapy Institutes (MSTI) means a clinician has completed specialized, advanced training in human sexuality, sexual dysfunction, and sex therapy practices. The certification reflects a high level of competence in working with individuals, couples, and diverse populations (including LGBTQIA+, kink, polyamorous, and BIPOC communities) on issues related to sexual health and intimacy.
The training typically includes:
- Over 150+ hours of sex therapy education
- Supervised clinical experience with certified supervisors
- Ongoing education in inclusive, trauma-informed, and evidence-based approaches
These certifications demonstrates that the therapist is committed to providing affirming, informed, and ethical sex therapy services.

Attachment Theory
Attachment Theory helps us understand how our early relationships—especially with caregivers—shape the way we connect with others as adults. As a therapist, I often see how patterns of attachment show up in romantic relationships, influencing how safe, secure, or anxious we feel with our partners. Whether someone tends to avoid closeness, fears abandonment, or feels generally secure in love, these patterns aren’t fixed—they’re adaptive responses we developed to get our needs met. The beauty of this work is that with awareness and support, we can shift these patterns and create healthier, more connected relationships.
Trauma-Informed Therapy
Trauma-informed therapy focuses on safety, empowerment, and collaboration. It acknowledges the profound impact of trauma, prioritizing sensitivity, clear boundaries, and trust-building. Through trauma-informed counseling, individuals can regain control, process past experiences, and develop resilience. Whether you’re healing from past trauma or seeking emotional safety, trauma therapy offers a strong foundation for growth.
Hakomi Somatic Mindfulness
Hakomi Somatic Mindfulness combines mindfulness techniques with body-based exploration. This somatic therapy helps process and release trauma by tuning into the wisdom of the body. Hakomi allows individuals to access and transform the underlying emotional and physiological patterns linked to trauma. This gentle yet powerful approach promotes self-awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience. Embark on a journey of healing and growth, reconnect with your authentic self, and move forward with confidence.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy
Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy recognizes the different inner parts within each individual and their unique roles in self-protection and healing. Through gentle exploration and compassionate dialogue, IFS therapy helps individuals understand and heal from past wounds. This method nurtures self-compassion and emotional balance. By creating harmony within these internal parts, IFS helps individuals access their inner strength and transform their relationship with themselves.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) & Gottman Therapy
This combined approach supports deep emotional healing. EFT provides a safe and supportive environment to explore and heal deep emotional wounds caused by trauma. By fostering secure attachment in emotional connections, EFT helps rebuild trust, heal relational wounds, and cultivate resilience. Meanwhile, the evidence-based techniques of Gottman Therapy offer practical tools to improve communication, intimacy, and build a strong foundation for healing. Together, they offer a comprehensive and effective path to address trauma, promote emotional well-being, and restore balance to relationships.
